Sisterhood’s Bridge to Ethiopia
Annual Fundraiser
Help children in Ethiopia fight cancer. Together, we can make a difference.
View event detailsSisterhood has participated in and organized a number of fundraising events, such as our annual "Better Together" Sisterhood WCCS Fundraising Night and the annual Susan G. Komen 5-mile walk. In addition, we support our local community by raising funds door-to-door during the Ethiopian New Year’s traditional celebration, Abebayosh.

Sisterhood was founded in 2020 with an initial focus on volunteering alongside the Tesfa Addis Parents Children Cancer Organization (located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) and local churches. Through these partnerships, the organization aimed to inspire greater community participation in various fundraising initiatives.
Its primary objective was to support critical causes, particularly by providing funding for transportation and medical equipment essential to improving the quality of life for children and families affected by cancer.

Community. Compassion. Hope.October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We stand with everyone affected by breast cancer and honor the families, caregivers and communities supporting them.
At Sisterhood, our commitment to children fighting cancer in Ethiopia continues throughout the year. Awareness brings us together; compassion turns it into action.

With every act of support, we’ve been able to bring comfort and hope to children and families affected by cancer. Through our first fundraising event, we gifted a van to Tesfaaddis Parents and Children Cancer Support in Addis Ababa, making it easier for families to reach the care they need. Each contribution—big or small—has helped us take meaningful steps forward in easing the journey for those who need it most. Our vision for this year is to raise enough funds to support a transformative project in the city of Jimma, Ethiopia. Our goal is to help build a new facility that will give patients in need better resources and care. This project aims to create a place that will be a source of healing and hope for innumerable people and families, not just a building. Together, we can make this facility a reality!
Over 25,000 people directly supported through community programs, crisis response, and ongoing care initiatives.
